The Next Stage of Recovery

‍ ‍

Because staying sober and healing aren’t always the same thing.

Who I work with

People in recovery who want more than sobriety.

You worked hard to get where you are.

You've built a foundation in recovery, maintained your sobriety, and made changes that once felt impossible. Yet you may be discovering that some of the challenges you hoped sobriety would resolve are still present.

If you're navigating recovery, anxiety, depression, trauma, or a major life transition, you don't have to figure it all out alone. I also work with family members and loved ones impacted by substance use, and I welcome LGBTQIA+ clients looking for an affirming space to explore identity, relationships, and the experiences that shape who you are.

Maybe you're struggling with:

  • Feeling stuck despite doing "everything right" in recovery

  • Relationships that feel difficult or unfulfilling

  • Anxiety, depression, or overwhelming emotions

  • Shame, self-criticism, or low self-worth

  • Trauma or painful experiences from the past

  • Questions about identity, purpose, and what comes next

If this sounds familiar, you're not failing in your recovery. Many people discover that getting sober and healing are not the same thing.

You may simply be entering a deeper stage of growth, healing, and self-discovery.

My approach

Healing beyond sobriety.

Recovery is about much more than staying sober.

While abstinence is an important part of the journey, recovery also includes our emotional health, relationships, self-understanding, and connection to the people and things that matter most to us.

My approach is warm, curious, and client-centered.

In therapy with me, you can expect me to bring my authentic self into the room. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be honest about their struggles while also feeling supported and challenged to grow.

There is room for both humor and hard conversations.

Life can be difficult, and sometimes laughter helps us make it through. At the same time, I make space for the most painful and vulnerable parts of your story with compassion and care.

Together, we'll focus on growth.

Clients often describe me as kind, honest, and firm when needed. I respect the courage it takes to show up, the self-compassion and resilience needed for lasting change, and the unique path each person takes toward healing.

Meet Carrie

Hi, I'm Carrie.

I work with adults in recovery who have built a foundation in sobriety and are ready for deeper healing. I also work with family members and loved ones impacted by substance use, as well as adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and the challenges that come with life transitions. I offer an affirming space where you can explore identity, relationships, and the experiences that have shaped who you are, including the unique experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that recovery is about much more than abstinence, it's about creating a meaningful life that feels connected and authentic.

I strive to create a space where you can show up as you are, explore what may be keeping you stuck, and move toward the life you want to build.
